Whole 30 Ranch Dressing & Dry Mix

I don’t know about you, but I could probably eat ranch on just about anything! Whether it’s a snack with veggies, over a big salad, or to use as a dip for chicken wings or burgers it just adds that extra “mmmmm factor” to whatever you have it with!

When I started Whole 30, I was hell bent on finding a ranch dressing recipe that I loved. I tried what seemed like every recipe out there and every time they just didn’t have that punch of flavor that I was so used to in non-compliant ranch.

Lo and behold, I FINALLY found a recipe that was the closest thing to the “normal” ranch dressing I was used to, and with a few little tweaks here and there, I finally found that creamy, “ranchy” amazingness that I had missed.

The dry ranch mix and ranch dressing recipes were both adapted from The Pinning Mama, so I want to make sure to give credit where credit is due, but below are the minor tweaks I made to make it just a little more “ranchy” (or at least the kind of ranch I was used to!)

Dry Ranch Mix Ingredients

  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbl dried parsley (the original recipe uses 4 Tbl)
  • 3 tsp dried dill
  • 2 tsp dried chives
  • 4 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 tsp onion powder
  • 4 tsp dried onion flakes

2 Tbl = 1 Store Bought Ranch Packet

This will make about 1/2-2/3 cup of dry mix, so whatever you don’t use for the dressing, seal it in a leftover spic jar or small mason jar to keep for other things like chicken or other proteins that could use that “ranchy” kick!

Whole 30 Ranch Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 cup compliant or homemade mayo
  • 1/3 cup full fat coconut milk (make sure you shake up the can or container before pouring since it separates after sitting)
  • 2 Tbl fresh lemon juice (the original recipe calls for 1 Tbl)
  • 1 Tbl + 2 tsp dry ranch mix (the original recipe calls for 1 Tbl)

Directions :

I like to dump everything into a small or medium sized mason jar, then shake shake shake until it’s all combined. You can store it in the same container with a lid for a week or so in the fridge (if it lasts that long!), and it cuts down on the dishes!

So what’s your favorite way to use Whole 30 ranch dressing? You know I’m going to be using this same base to create all KINDS of other creamy dressings, but this is amazing all by itself! Leave me a comment below to let me know how you like it, and your favorite way to use it!
